A Newtown pizzeria known for doing things its own way, Bella Brutta serves up what it calls “beautiful ugly” pizza. The dough is thin, blistered and a little charred, with bold toppings and a mix of Italian tradition and personal favourites from the team behind Porteño, Bastardo and Humble Bakery. The menu changes regularly according to what’s in season. Humble Bakery is a Surry Hills go-to for fresh, everyday baking done properly. Part of the Porteño Group (Porteño, Bastardo & Bella Brutta), it’s known for sourdough, sandwiches, croissants, pies and its much-loved and award-winning finger buns.
